Today I want to talk about something we deal with as new moms. There is nothing quite like sore and tender breasts! For those who have experienced this, you know exactly what I’m talking about!
As your milk is coming in and you are nursing and nurturing that new baby, it can be hard to get the suction just right or get them latched on correctly. And even just the newness of it can cause tenderness, soreness on the nipple. It’s also common, when your milk comes in, to deal with engorgement.
It’s a tough time! You just had a baby and you have all these changes of a new baby and the changes that happen with your body and after delivery. I remember those times. I did it 6 times, and I know how you are feeling.
Not all of the options available are always the best ones, but this has been amazing for me. It was super helpful for making the nursing experience and nurturing my babies, so much better and easier.
The two oils that I used that were Geranium and Myrrh. I also used Fractionated Coconut Oil with them.
After nursing, I would take this blend and have it mixed in a roller bottle. I would put 10 drops of each oil and then fill it up with the coconut oil and have it handy. After I was done nursing, I would just roll it on. It would usually give enough time before I needed to nurse again to not distract baby from wanting to nurse. It was so helpful and safe to use on yourself so hopefully you’ll be able to try this and find some relief.
